What is duplex 2205 pipe?

A duplex 2205 pipe is a pipe which is treated under specific temperature and extinguishing conditions. This pipe has higher contents of chromium (22%), 5-6% Nickel, and 3 % of molybdenum, making it useful for seawater environment conditions. What is the temperature limit for 2205 duplex stainless steel pipe?

Although 2205 duplex stainless steel pipe can withstand extreme conditions, but not more extreme if brought into environments where temperature exceeds 300 ° C. This material is ideal only in environments where temperature is lower than 300 ° C, which is 572-° F, to avoid embrittlement.
