How do Hastelloy c22 pipe flanges seal?
  • Preparation is done by ensuring the flange faces are clean, free from debris and aligned properly.
  • Choose an appropriate gasket material as per the specific application requirements like temperature, pressure and type of fluid or gas being conveyed. Gaskets for Hastelloy C22 flanges are made from compatible materials like graphite, PTFE, etc.
  • Carefully place the gasket over one flange face. It should be centered and properly aligned with the bolt holes.
  • Align the Hastelloy alloy c22 slip on flanges and bring them together where the gasket is in a proper position. Insert the bolts through the holes and tighten them according to the recommended torque specifications.

How can DIN 2.4602 flanges be classified based on facing and finish?
  • Type A or Flat Face DIN 2.4602 lap joint flanges have a flat contact surface without any raised features. They are used when the mating component does not require a sealing groove.
